Microsoft releases Surface Pro 12 and offers Surface Laptop discounts

Microsoft has launched the Surface Pro 12 (2026), starting at $1,149 for the 256 GB configuration. The new fanless Windows convertible features a Snapdragon X2 Plus system-on-chip with six CPU cores. While single-core speeds have improved, multi-core benchmarks show a decrease compared to the previous eight-core X1 Plus model. The device utilizes a 12-inch Sharp IPS panel with a 90 Hz refresh rate, which offers slightly higher brightness at 511 nits but lower contrast levels than the previous BOE-supplied panel.

Separately, Microsoft is offering a significant discount on its 15-inch Surface Laptop through Amazon. The device, featuring a Snapdragon X Elite processor, 16GB of RAM, and 1TB of storage, is currently priced at $1,528, representing a 31 percent reduction from its original list price of $2,199.99.
