Microsoft shares attract new stakes from hedge funds
Stokes Capital Advisors LLC raised its Microsoft position in the first quarter, adding 4,919 shares to hold a total of 44,535 shares—about 3.7% of its portfolio and valued at roughly $16.5 million. River Street Advisors LLC also increased its stake, purchasing 2,235 shares to bring its holding to 16,492 shares, representing about 2.1% of its assets and worth around $6.1 million.
Both filings are part of the quarterly 13F disclosures, which show institutional investors collectively own about 71.13% of Microsoft’s outstanding stock. The moves come after Microsoft reported fourth‑quarter earnings of $4.27 per share on $82.89 billion of revenue and announced a $0.91 quarterly dividend.
Analysts note that the increased holdings reflect confidence in Microsoft’s growth prospects amid its strong financial performance and ongoing dividend payouts.
