Microsoft Surface laptop lineup features Nvidia and Snapdragon models

Microsoft is expanding its Surface laptop lineup with two distinct high-end models. The Surface Laptop Ultra features the Nvidia RTX Spark N1X SoC and supports up to 128 GB of RAM for local AI workloads. While it offers a high-brightness Mini-LED display exceeding 2000 nits and a magnetic USB-C connector, reviews note technical drawbacks including slow response times on the IPS panel, a lack of local dimming, and a heavy chassis.

The Surface Laptop 7, equipped with the Snapdragon X Elite processor, focuses on efficiency and AI capabilities via a Qualcomm Hexagon NPU. This 15-inch model offers up to 22 hours of local video playback and features a PixelSense-Flow display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. It includes options for up to 32 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and various SSD capacities, supporting Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4.
