Microsoft to end Office 2021 support in October 2026

Microsoft has announced the end of support for Office 2021, scheduled for October 13, 2026. While the software will continue to function after this date, Microsoft will no longer provide security updates, bug fixes, or technical support.

Users of Office 2021 will be without protection against newly discovered security risks, including viruses and spyware, once the deadline passes. The company is expected to encourage users to transition to supported versions or alternatives, such as the Microsoft 365 subscription service.
