Microsoft to limit Microsoft 365 features on Windows 10

Microsoft is planning to restrict new features for Microsoft 365 users on Windows 10 to encourage migration to Windows 11. According to documentation on Microsoft Learn, once version 2608 of Microsoft 365 reaches the stable channel, Windows 10 devices will no longer receive new tools or features.

Users remaining on Windows 10 will only receive security updates until the operating system reaches its end of extended support on October 10, 2028. While most applications will be frozen at version 2608, the OneDrive desktop application will continue to receive updates until October 2028, provided the system is running Windows 10 version 22H2.

Version 2608 is currently in preview, suggesting these restrictions could be implemented within weeks.
