Microsoft to remove Publisher from Microsoft 365 in 2026

Microsoft has announced that it will officially remove Publisher from the Microsoft 365 suite on October 1, 2026. The company cited low usage rates as the primary reason for the decision, noting that Word and PowerPoint already provide many of the functionalities previously offered by the application.

Subscribers are being notified via email and are advised to convert any existing Publisher files into Word or PDF formats before the deadline.
