Intel and Fortinet have announced a strategic partnership to co‑develop the Fortinet Security Processor 6 (SP6) ASIC. The collaboration combines Intel’s expertise in advanced semiconductor design, packaging and manufacturing with Fortinet’s two‑decade experience in security‑focused ASICs. Both companies say the joint effort will accelerate SP6 development, boost performance for high‑end cyber‑security services, and diversify the global semiconductor supply chain.
