Halo: Campaign Evolved launches July 2026 with new missions and cross‑platform play

Microsoft’s Halo Studios announced that Halo: Campaign Evolved, a ground‑up remake of the 2001 classic, will release on 28 July 2026 for Xbox Series X|S, PC, PlayStation 5 and via Xbox Game Pass. The title adds three brand‑new missions, dubbed Operation METEORITE, set a year before the original story and featuring Master Chief and Sergeant Johnson on a covert Covenant research vessel.

The remake runs on Unreal Engine 5, bringing ray‑traced lighting, higher‑resolution textures and updated cinematics. A premium edition priced at $79.99 (or €79.99) includes early access, digital collectibles and a PDF manual, while a collector’s edition adds a 30 cm Master Chief statue and other physical items. The special edition sold out within hours of pre‑sale, prompting resale listings above $700.
