Micware expands into software-defined vehicles and spatial intelligence

Micware has announced strategic expansions into software-defined vehicles and spatial intelligence platforms. During a Sidoti Conference presentation, CEO Kenji Narushima detailed the company’s focus on two primary platforms: micAuto, an automotive software platform, and DynaPlanet, an intelligent 3D platform designed for location-based services.

In collaboration with the Institute of Science Tokyo, Micware also published research regarding technology that automatically generates 3D urban building models using dashcam footage and GPS data. Field trials conducted across four Japanese cities successfully generated 2,580 building models, which are integrated into OpenStreetMap. This technology supports the 3D space construction within the DynaPlanet platform.

Micware provides infotainment, navigation, and mobility solutions for major automotive clients, including Toyota, Honda, Daihatsu, and Denso. The company reported a record gross margin of 36.8% in fiscal 2026 and noted that its cash and cash equivalents have nearly doubled since fiscal 2024.
