Mid-American Conference collegiate sports update

In Mid-American Conference collegiate athletics, Kent State soccer and volleyball teams, along with Miami University volleyball, recorded recent results.

The Kent State soccer team played to a scoreless draw against Ball State. Goalkeeper Leah Shaffer recorded four saves to secure the shutout in the match.

In volleyball, Kent State secured two consecutive victories against Central Michigan. The first was a five-set win (3-2) featuring strong performances from Mercedez Brown and Vanessa Imoh. The second was a 3-1 victory (25-20, 21-25, 26-24, 25-17) led by Macie Moreland, who recorded a career-high 16 kills.

Additionally, the Miami University volleyball team extended its winning streak to five matches after defeating Eastern Michigan in four sets (17-25, 25-23, 29-27, 26-24). Lauren Coyne and Grace Kreutz each contributed 13 kills in the win.
