Mid-American Conference releases 2026-27 women's basketball preseason poll

The Mid-American Conference (MAC) has released its preseason coaches' poll for the 2026-27 women's basketball season. Ball State was selected by the league's 12 head coaches to win the regular-season title, earning 111 points and five first-place votes.

Miami followed in second place with 108 points, while Massachusetts took third with 103 points. In the voting for the MAC Tournament winner, Ball State and Toledo each received four votes, followed by Miami with three and Massachusetts with one.

Other preseason rankings include Toledo in fourth, Ohio in fifth, Eastern Michigan in sixth, and Kent State in seventh. Bowling Green was picked to finish eighth, followed by Central Michigan, Western Michigan, Akron, and Buffalo.
