Mid-American Conference releases preseason swimming and diving poll

The Mid-American Conference (MAC) has released its preseason coaches’ poll for the 2026-27 women’s swimming and diving season. Akron was favored to win the conference championships, receiving 64 points and eight of the nine first-place votes.

Ohio University was selected to finish second in the poll with 57 points and one first-place vote. Miami followed in third with 50 points. The top five rankings were completed by Ball State with 42 points and Buffalo with 36 points.

Further down the rankings, Eastern Michigan placed sixth, followed by Massachusetts in seventh, Bowling Green in eighth, and Toledo in ninth. Bowling Green is scheduled to host the MAC Women’s Swimming and Diving Championship from February 24–27, 2027, at Cooper Pool.
