Mid-Western Regional Council water stations offline due to software fault

Three rural water fill stations managed by the Mid-Western Regional Council are temporarily unavailable due to a software fault. The outage affects stations located in Mudgee, Gulgong, and Rylstone.

These stations provide essential emergency drinking water to rural households that do not have access to town water supplies. Under normal operations, registered residents can collect up to 1,000 litres per day for urgent domestic needs.

External software engineers have been notified and are working to resolve the error, though no timeline for service resumption has been provided. The Council has advised residents requiring water during this period to contact local water cartage providers.
