The fourth season of the TVB singing competition ‘Middle Age Good Voice’ has concluded with record-low viewership. The grand finale reached a peak rating of 21.7 points, attracting approximately 1.4 million viewers, which represents a decline of over 220,000 compared to the previous season.

Program founder Eric Tsang noted that a major shortcoming of this season was the absence of local Hong Kong representatives among the top seven finalists, all of whom were from overseas divisions. This lack of local presence was cited as a reason for reduced engagement from the domestic audience. Additionally, some viewers criticized the contestants for lacking distinct personalities and star power compared to previous years.

Following the finale, judge Chow Kwok-fung posted a sentimental message on social media thanking the production team and participants. His post has led to public speculation regarding whether he will return to the judging panel when the show resumes after its scheduled one-year hiatus. The winner of the season was Yin Jing-shun, with Hui Wan-nei and Cheng Ka-sing taking second and third place, respectively.
