Middle Black Sea Logistics Master Plan enters field study phase

The Middle Black Sea Development Agency (OKA) has transitioned from desk-based analysis to field studies for the Middle Black Sea Logistics Master Plan. The project covers the provinces of Samsun, Amasya, Çorum, and Tokat.

The initiative aims to map the region's current logistics structure, identify bottlenecks in the transportation system, and develop investment proposals to increase regional competitiveness. Field visits and stakeholder meetings were conducted in Samsun between September 2 and 4 to assess current industry needs, including freight movements, transport modes, infrastructure requirements, and operational challenges.

A stakeholder consultation meeting was held at the OKA service building on September 4, chaired by General Secretary Mehlika Dicle. Public and private sector representatives discussed findings related to port, railway, and highway integration, as well as industrial logistics connections and storage infrastructure.
