Middle East Film & Comic Con returns to Abu Dhabi in 2026

The 14th edition of the Middle East Film & Comic Con (MEFCC) is scheduled to take place from September 11 to 13, 2026, at the ADNEC Centre in Abu Dhabi. The event features a diverse lineup of attractions, including celebrity appearances, anime, gaming, and competitive cosplay.

Actor John Cena is a primary headline guest, scheduled for a celebrity panel on Saturday alongside Pom Klementieff, Charithra Chandran, and Joonas Suotamo, followed by a solo appearance on Sunday. The convention also marks the first UAE appearance for Crunchyroll.

Since its inception in Dubai in 2012, MEFCC has grown significantly, reaching a record attendance of over 46,000 fans in 2025. The 2026 event will include an expanded Otaku District, trading card tournaments, and an Artist Alley.
