Middle East trade routes diverge amid Hormuz and Suez shifts

The Middle East is experiencing a shift in maritime trade patterns as shipping routes diverge. While Iran increases control over the Strait of Hormuz, container shipping lines are returning to the Suez Canal route.

Rather than simply replacing one corridor with another, the region is splitting trade based on cargo type and developing a third logistical option that bypasses both major shipping routes.
