Middle Eastern foreign ministers hold talks on regional stability

Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty held a telephone discussion with Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam regarding regional developments and bilateral relations. Abdelatty reaffirmed Egypt’s support for Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, expressing full rejection of Israeli violations of Lebanese sovereignty. He emphasized the necessity of a complete Israeli withdrawal from occupied Lebanese territories and the full, non-selective implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1701. The discussion also covered efforts to reduce regional escalation and the impact of Red Sea developments on maritime security and international trade.

In a separate diplomatic engagement, Tunisian Foreign Minister Mohamed Ali Nafti spoke with Omani Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi. The two officials discussed bilateral cooperation and regional stability, both expressing a categorical rejection of threats to the security of Middle Eastern nations. They stressed the need for intensified international efforts to halt military escalation and promote dialogue to prevent further regional tension. Nafti expressed gratitude for Oman’s mediation efforts, while Al Busaidi noted the collaborative efforts regarding Tunisia’s ministerial presidency of the Arab League.
