Middle Tennessee State University launches Live in the Boro concert series

Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) Athletics and Nashville-based NVRDUL Events have announced the launch of ‘Live in the Boro’, a new concert series designed to bring major touring artists to the MTSU campus.

The series will utilize Murphy Center and Floyd Stadium for various concerts and special events throughout the academic year. The inaugural event is scheduled for Thursday, November 5, during MTSU Homecoming Week, featuring country music artist Bailey Zimmerman as the headliner. The lineup also includes Waka Flocka Flame, Miller Holler, and DJ Dee Jay Silver.

MTSU President Sidney A. McPhee noted that planned renovations to Murphy Center and Floyd Stadium, supported by state and private funding, aim to transform these venues into entertainment destinations that benefit the university, Murfreesboro, and Rutherford County. MTSU Athletics Director Chris Massaro stated the initiative is intended to create a new source of support for the athletics department and generate commercial activity around the athletic venues.
