Middlesbrough manager seeks to retain David Strelec amid PAOK interest

Middlesbrough manager Tim Hebbidge has expressed his desire to retain Slovakian forward David Strelec amid reports linking the player to Greek club PAOK.

Following a Carabao Cup victory against Doncaster, Hebbidge described Strelec as an “excellent footballer” and stated that he expects the player to remain with the team. While acknowledging reports of interest from PAOK, the manager noted he has not received official communication regarding the matter. Middlesbrough's football director, Kieran Scott, has also indicated that no formal bid has been received from the Greek side.

Strelec, 25, recently featured as a substitute in the match against Doncaster. Reports suggest the player may have reached a verbal agreement with PAOK, though official negotiations between the two clubs are still pending.
