Middletown police investigate stabbing of two women at QuickChek

Two women were injured during a stabbing incident at a QuickChek gas station in Middletown, New York, on Saturday, September 26. According to the Middletown Police Department, the violence followed an argument inside a vehicle.

Officers arrived at the scene shortly after 4:40 a.m. and discovered a 23-year-old woman outside a vehicle on State Route 17M suffering from multiple serious stab wounds to her torso and extremities. Due to the unavailability of an immediate EMS unit, police officers applied a tourniquet and transported her to Garnet Health Medical Center in a police vehicle. She underwent surgery and is expected to survive.

A second victim, a 21-year-old woman, was found inside the store's restroom with several stab wounds. Police reported that she was in possession of a knife and became combative during the confrontation before being taken into custody. She was also treated and transported to the medical center.
