Midea Electronics Indonesia expands manufacturing with new Cikarang facility

Midea Electronics Indonesia has reached a production milestone of 3 million units and inaugurated a new manufacturing facility in Cikarang, West Java. The company plans to export two million units to the ASEAN region and North America by 2026, strengthening Indonesia's role in its global production network.

President Director Jack Ding stated that reaching 3 million units is a significant milestone in the company's Indonesian manufacturing journey. The expansion includes increasing the footprint of the residential air conditioner facility in Cikarang from 13,000 square meters to 43,000 square meters. Additionally, Midea is expanding production for washing machines and maintains a large refrigerator facility in Karawang.

Deputy Minister of Industry Faisol Riza praised the commitment of Midea and PT Jaya Refrigeration Equipment to invest and expand production in Indonesia. He noted that the manufacturing sector, specifically metal, computer, electronic, and electrical equipment, showed a 9.20 percent growth in the second quarter of 2026.
