Midea expands residential HVAC solutions in Australia and Canada
Midea has launched the Edith Series residential air conditioning range in Australia, designed to address expected record high summer temperatures. The new series features rapid cooling capabilities that can reduce indoor temperatures by 6°C within 10 minutes. Key features include the AI ECOMASTER mode for energy optimization, an enhanced airflow system with vertical and horizontal auto-swing, and a ‘Wind Avoid Me’ function to prevent direct drafts. The range also integrates smart home capabilities via Wi-Fi and voice control for Google Home and Alexa, alongside the I-Clean Pro hygiene system.
In Canada, Midea is advising homeowners to evaluate their heating equipment ahead of the winter season. The company is highlighting modern inverter-driven cold-climate heat pumps and dual-fuel systems as efficient alternatives to aging HVAC infrastructure. These technologies allow for improved energy efficiency and cost management without requiring the complete abandonment of existing gas heating systems.
