Midfielder Aldo Florenzi signs with Serie B club Spezia Calcio

Aldo Florenzi, a 2002‑born central midfielder, has signed with Serie B side Spezia Calcio. The move follows three seasons at Cosenza, where he also captained the team, and the contract runs until 2029.

Florenzi said the club’s anthem impressed him – “When the anthem of the Picco started, I was impressed, so I learned it” – and he felt at home quickly, helped by former Cosenza teammates Kevin Cannavò and Simone Mazzocchi. He described the training camp in Pontremoli as intense and expressed ambition to contribute to Spezia’s historic stadium, the Picco.
