Midge Ure and The Beatles announce new musical releases

Musician Midge Ure has released a new studio recording of ‘Fade to Grey’, the 1980 synth-pop classic he helped create with the band Visage. The new version was released as a single on September 17 and will be featured in the upcoming compilation ‘Chapters: The Best Of Midge Ure’, scheduled for release by Chrysalis Records on November 13. The compilation will include new mixes of his 1980s productions alongside two new studio recordings: ‘Fade to Grey’ and ‘Yellow Pearl’.

In other music news, an expanded special edition of The Beatles’ album ‘Rubber Soul’ is set for release on October 2. This edition features new stereo and Dolby Atmos mixes produced by Giles Martin and engineer Sam Okell, derived from the original four-track masters. The release also includes the original mono mix, the US Capitol Records edited version, and previously unreleased session recordings and demos.
