Midlands State University confers degrees on 7,888 graduates

Midlands State University (MSU) held its 27th graduation ceremony at the Kwekwe Campus, where President Emmerson Mnangagwa conferred degrees upon 7,888 graduands. The ceremony featured Miniyothabo Baloyi-Chiwenga, wife of Vice President Constantino Chiwenga, who received a Doctor of Business Leadership degree.

The graduating cohort included 55% female and 45% male students. Of the graduates, 6,631 received Honours Degrees, 1,027 received Master’s Degrees, and 19 were awarded PhDs or Doctor of Business Leadership degrees. Notably, 39% of the students completed degrees in STEM disciplines, including the university’s first graduates in Biomedical Sciences and various Engineering fields.
