MIDO launches Ocean Star 200 with Lee Jong Suk as Asian brand ambassador

Swiss watchmaker MIDO introduced the Ocean Star 200, the newest model in its iconic diver’s collection, at an exclusive launch event in Seoul, South Korea. Korean actor Lee Jong Suk was presented as the brand’s first Asian ambassador and wore the watch during the ceremony.

CEO Franz Linder highlighted the launch as a milestone for the Ocean Star line, noting the new 41 mm case, water resistance to 200 metres (20 bar), a one‑way rotating bezel, crown and screw‑down case back, and the automatic Calibre 80 movement with an 80‑hour power reserve. The event featured a themed exhibition of historic Ocean Star pieces and a multimedia show under the campaign “Treasure Your Time.”

MIDO said the Ocean Star 200 will be sold through its official boutiques, including locations in Indonesia’s Grand Indonesia mall, and via authorised retailers across Asia.
