Mido launches Ocean Star 39 Special Edition dive watch

Swiss watchmaker Mido has introduced the Ocean Star 39 Special Edition, a 39 mm stainless‑steel dive watch. The case is water‑resistant to 20 bar (200 m) and features a blue, wave‑pattern dial with Super‑Luminova‑coated hands and indices, a date window at 3 o’clock, and a sapphire crystal treated with anti‑reflective coating on both sides. The unidirectional bezel incorporates a blue aluminium insert and a luminous marker at the 12‑o’clock position.

Power is supplied by Mido’s Calibre 72, based on the ETA A3111, offering a 72‑hour reserve, a Nivachron spiral for magnetic resistance, and Geneva‑fin‑decorated balance wheel. The watch ships with two interchangeable straps—a polished steel band and a blue rubber strap—both attached via Mido’s tool‑free quick‑change system. The special edition is priced at €1,320 and continues Mido’s century‑long expertise in waterproof watch technology.
