Miedź Legnica appoints Dawid Kroczek as new head coach

Miedź Legnica has officially appointed Dawid Kroczek as its new head coach, replacing Janusz Niedźwiedź. The 37-year-old coach signed a contract running through the end of the 2027/2028 season, which includes an option for a 12-month extension.

Kroczek returns to coaching just 23 days after being dismissed from Raków Częstochowa following a disappointing start to their campaign and an exit from the Conference League qualifiers. Due to formal regulations, he was ineligible to work for an Ekstraklasa club during this period, leading him to the I liga.

Miedź Legnica currently sits in 5th place in the league standings. The club's decision to change leadership comes after a four-match winless streak under Niedźwiedź. Kroczek is scheduled to make his debut on October 11 against Odra Opole.
