Jan Kiepura Festival concludes in Krynica-Zdrój

The 59th Jan Kiepura Festival in Krynica-Zdrój has concluded, drawing nearly 20,000 spectators across 30 events. The festival featured approximately 2,000 artists, showcasing a diverse range of musical genres from classical and opera to popular music.

The grand finale featured a production of Stanisław Moniuszko’s operaHalka’ performed by the Silesian Opera from Bytom. This performance held historical significance as ‘Halka’ was linked to the stage debut of the legendary tenor Jan Kiepura. Other notable festival highlights included a performance of Johann Strauss’s ‘Die Fledermaus’ by the Krakow Opera and a concert by the Representative Orchestra of the Border Guard from Nowy Sącz.
