Mielec paramedics win silver at national medical rescue championships

Paramedics from the Podkarpacka Emergency Medical Service Station in Mielec, Paweł Pasek and Wojciech Machowski, secured second place at the 23rd International Polish Medical Rescue Championships held in Olsztyn.

The competition involved 56 teams from across Poland and Europe. Participants were tested on medical knowledge, physical fitness, teamwork, and decision-making under pressure through various scenarios, including traffic accident simulations and pediatric interventions. Challenges were conducted during both day and night shifts.

A press conference was held in Mielec to celebrate the achievement, attended by local officials including Mielec Starost Kazimierz Gacek and the director of the station, Grzegorz Gałuszka. The team's success follows weeks of intensive training and rigorous preliminary rounds.
