Miffy zakka fest launches first time in Chiba, Japan with 1,000 themed goods

The popular Miffy zakka fest returns for its 2026 edition, debuting in Japan for the first time. The event runs from 11 August to 24 August 2026 at the Sogo Chiba department store's sixth‑floor exhibition hall. The theme "aka" (red) features apple‑patterned, venue‑exclusive merchandise and more than 1,000 Miffy items, including photo spots and family‑friendly attractions.

Limited‑edition mascots are offered on specific days: on 11 August a gold‑fish‑style mascot (400 pieces) and on 15 August an apple‑apron mascot (400 pieces) each priced around ¥2,400‑¥2,800. Additional items such as acrylic key rings, chenille towels, and botanical body soap are also available. Customers who spend ¥3,300 or more receive a set of original wrapping paper. Entry tickets and purchase tickets are distributed on the crowded days to manage queues.

The fest, created by Dick Bruna’s company Blue‑Nook, aims to attract Miffy fans and families during Japan’s summer vacation period.
