MiG-29 fighter jet experiences brake failure during landing in Malbork
A MiG-29 fighter jet experienced a technical failure during landing at the 22nd Tactical Air Base in Malbork, Poland. Following a training flight, the aircraft's brakes malfunctioned, resulting in damage to two tires.
According to the Polish Armed Forces Operational Command, the pilot managed to land the aircraft normally, and no injuries were reported. Unconfirmed social media reports suggesting the aircraft landed without landing gear were officially denied.
The second aircraft in the pair returned to the Malbork base as per standard procedures, while the damaged MiG-29 awaits brake inspections and tire replacement. The State Commission on Aircraft Accidents Investigation is expected to investigate the cause of the incident.
