Mighty Wanderers to sell match day tickets for Simba clash

Mighty Wanderers Football Club has announced that tickets for their upcoming CAF Champions League first preliminary round match against Tanzania’s Simba Sports Club will be sold only on match day. The decision, made by the club’s director of finance, administration and audit Mervis Mangulenje, aims to prevent the production of counterfeit tickets.

The match is scheduled to take place this Sunday at the Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe. To manage crowds and ensure smooth entry, the club has increased ticketing points and enhanced security. Ticket prices are set at K5,000 for standard entry, K25,000 for VIP, K30,000 for corporate boxes, and K10,000 for vehicle passes.

Ahead of the fixture, interim coach MacDonald Nginde Mtetemera, who was appointed following the suspension of Bob Mpinganjira, has called for unity within the club. Mtetemera expressed optimism regarding the team's ability to progress to the next round despite the difficulty of the matchup. The second leg of the tie will be played in Tanzania next week.
