Migori County police investigate beheading and mob killing

Police in Migori County are investigating a violent incident in Sakuri village, Kuria East Sub-County, where a 50-year-old man, John Mwita Kimwama, was allegedly hacked to death and beheaded.

The suspected attacker, 32-year-old Samson Waitacho Mariko, was reportedly killed by an angry mob shortly after the attack. The mob also set fire to Mariko’s house. Authorities have documented the scene and moved the bodies to Wima Mortuary pending autopsies.
