Quavo and Offset have announced plans for a final Migos album and a farewell tour to honor the legacy of the late rapper Takeoff. The project will serve as a successor to their 2021 album, ‘Culture III’.
To ensure the group's signature sound remains intact, the new album will feature Takeoff’s vocals, which were recorded during sessions prior to his death in November 2022. Quavo stated in interviews that the goal is to make the music sound as if Takeoff were still present in the studio, noting, “We owe the fans at least the music.”
Takeoff, born Kirsnick Khari Ball, passed away at age 28 following a shooting in Houston, Texas. The upcoming album and tour are intended to provide a definitive conclusion to the group's chapter following the hiatus caused by his death.
