Migración Colombia expels 27 foreigners from Arauca

Migración Colombia expelled 27 foreign nationals from Arauca during a migratory verification operation conducted on a Sunday night. The operation was carried out with support from the National Police and the Mayor's Office of Arauca.

According to the agency, none of the 27 individuals had a record of legal entry into the country. The decision to expel them followed an inter-institutional analysis of databases, including the National System of Corrective Measures of the National Police and the Prosecutor General's Office's Oral Accusatory Penal System (SPOA).

The agency stated the individuals represented a security risk to the border community. Some individuals had accumulated up to 55 corrective measures for behaviors contrary to coexistence since 2021. Additionally, 18 of the expelled persons were under preliminary investigation for potential crimes, including drug trafficking, theft, illegal possession of weapons, and property damage.
