Migrant assistance and regularization efforts reported in Colombia and Mexico

In Dosquebradas, Colombia, the local government and Migración Colombia held a session to regularize the status of Venezuelan residents. During the event, 16 individuals received their Temporary Protection Permit (PPT), while 21 others received individual guidance on their migratory status and the necessary steps to complete the regularization process. The initiative aims to facilitate access to health, education, and employment by reducing administrative barriers.

In Tijuana, Mexico, the Municipal Directorate for Migrant Attention reports that between 50 and 70 people seek assistance daily. The agency provides support for identity documents, temporary housing, or repatriation. While the flow of migrants has decreased following changes to the CBP One platform, the office continues to serve diverse populations, including Mexican repatriates and foreign nationals from countries such as Haiti, El Salvador, Honduras, Cuba, and Colombia.
