Migrant boat arrives at Calblanque coast in Murcia
A boat carrying between 40 and 50 migrants arrived at Cala Dorada, within the Calblanque regional park in Murcia, on Saturday morning. The arrival was reported by beachgoers to emergency services around 10:36 AM after the inflatable vessel was spotted approximately 500 meters from the shore.
Upon reaching the coast, the occupants disembarked and quickly dispersed into the surrounding area. The Guardia Civil has deployed a large-scale operation to track and locate the individuals, working in difficult-to-access coastal sections. The exact number of people located remains unconfirmed as search efforts continue.
This incident marks the fourth arrival of a migrant vessel on the Murcia coast in ten days. Following the event, regional President Fernando López Miras called on the central government to provide more resources, including military support, to manage the situation.
