Migration and security trends reported in Ceuta and Peru

In Ceuta, emergency services data indicates a significant rise in public security incidents. Between July 30 and September 10, the 112 Emergency Service managed 7,073 security-related files, representing a 532.6 percent increase compared to the same period in the previous year. This surge follows an influx of over 80,000 irregular migrants from Morocco.

In Peru, the National Superintendency of Migrations reported that 2,807 deportation orders were issued so far in 2026. Between January and September, authorities conducted 5,461 migration inspection operations, involving more than 83,000 foreign citizens. These operations, coordinated with the National Police of Peru, aim to identify individuals in irregular migratory status. Additionally, a new functional unit for analysis, monitoring, and migratory security has been established to strengthen criminal investigation and data collection.
