Yeni Berenice Reynoso warns of corruption consequences in Dominican Republic

Reynoso warned public officials that the current legal framework allows for the accumulation of penalties for crimes like bribery and money laundering, noting that legal responsibility can extend to corporate entities. She specifically clarified that receiving benefits in exchange for neglecting official duties constitutes bribery rather than a gift, and urged those in procurement committees to act with responsibility and diligence.
