Migration Studios completes The Overlook House in Idaho

Migration Studios has completed The Overlook House, a residential project located in McCall, Idaho. The structure is designed as a high-performance refuge using cross-laminated timber (CLT) and mass timber materials. The 2,912-square-foot design is intended to sit lightly within a mature ponderosa pine forest, reinterpreting the traditional Idaho mountain cabin.

Led by architect CJ Pennington, with structural engineering provided by Axiom, the project was photographed by Ethan Jones.
