Miguel Díaz-Canel inspects Havana water strategy and honors General Pardo Guerra

Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez recently engaged in two distinct official activities. First, he extended birthday congratulations to Division General Ramón Pardo Guerra, marking his 87th year. Pardo Guerra, a veteran of the Rebel Army who served under Che Guevara, currently serves as the National Chief of Staff of Civil Defense.

In a separate matter, Díaz-Canel inspected the implementation of an integral strategy to address water supply challenges in Havana. During a visit to the Cuenca Sur system, which serves over 30 percent of the capital's population, the President evaluated work programs designed to stabilize water access. He noted that the water crisis is exacerbated by energy blockades that impact the electricity supply necessary for water systems.
