Miguel Díaz-Canel meets with Cuban CDR leaders
Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez met with representatives of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR) to discuss the organization's role in the country's current revolutionary process. Díaz-Canel described the CDR as the largest organization within the Revolution, emphasizing its responsibility in defending the nation.
During the meeting, the President listened to evaluations and visions regarding grassroots participation. He highlighted several ongoing national initiatives, including the ‘Mi Barrio por la Patria’ participatory movement, the Community Youth Network led by the UJC, and the implementation of 176 economic and social transformations within local communities. Díaz-Canel noted that neighborhoods serve as the primary stage for the Revolution, asserting that the success of the nation depends on the functionality of its communities.
