Miguel de Mello Bueno overcomes leukemia after 112 chemotherapy sessions
Miguel de Mello Bueno, a 9-year-old boy from Brazil, has completed a three-year battle against acute lymphoblastic leukemia. After undergoing 112 chemotherapy sessions, Miguel finished his final treatment on July 28 at Hospital Pequeno Príncipe in Curitiba.
Throughout his treatment, which began when he was six years old, Miguel maintained an optimistic outlook. Following the conclusion of his medical sessions, he is preparing to return to his fourth-grade studies. Inspired by his oncologist, Miguel has expressed a desire to become a doctor in the future and continues to advocate for blood and bone marrow donation.
