Miguel Herrera involved in verbal altercation with fan at Estadio Banorte
Atlante manager Miguel ‘Piojo’ Herrera was involved in a verbal altercation with a fan during a Liga MX match against León at Estadio Banorte. The incident occurred as Herrera was heading toward the locker rooms.
According to video footage, a spectator directed insults and gestures at the coach. Herrera responded by confronting the individual, stating, ‘Me dices eso porque estás ahí, pero ahí afuera te cagas, te cagas entero.’ Following the exchange, Herrera requested that stadium security intervene to remove the spectator and issued a warning regarding the individual's future access to the stadium.
While the confrontation drew criticism on social media, some audio from the same video captured other spectators offering support to the manager during the dispute.
