Goiânia police arrest three for homemade rifle manufacturing ring

Three individuals were arrested in Goiânia by the Rondas Ostensivas Táticas Metropolitanas (Rotam) team for allegedly belonging to a criminal organization specializing in the homemade manufacture of rifles.

The group is suspected of manufacturing, maintaining, and commercializing large-caliber weaponry. The operation revealed that the factory was located on a farm in Aragoiânia and utilized its own machinery to produce and maintain weapon parts.

According to police, the group had a structured hierarchy: one “gunsmith” responsible for production, and two others tasked with negotiation, sale, and delivery. Authorities seized weapon components, magazines, ammunition, illegal manufacturing machinery, and two vehicles.
