Miguel Ángel Valverde addresses elections, gastronomy, and regional funding

Miguel Ángel Valverde, President of the Ciudad Real Provincial Council and the local People's Party (PP), has addressed several regional and national matters.

Regarding national politics, Valverde welcomed the announcement of general elections scheduled for November 29. He criticized the current government under Pedro Sánchez, citing issues such as housing, corruption, and territorial crises. He characterized recent legislative attempts regarding housing as a 'trap' intended to confuse citizens.

On a regional economic level, Valverde presented the second International Congress of Hunting Gastronomy, to be held in Almagro on November 10 and 11. Supported by ASICCAZA, the event aims to boost the commercialization and consumption of game meat, featuring chefs with 17 Michelin stars.

Additionally, Valverde announced that the Provincial Council will transfer over half a million euros to the municipality of Alcubillas by the end of 2026. This funding is intended for infrastructure maintenance and new projects, representing a significant increase compared to the previous administration.
