Miguel Oliveira secures 9th in Cremona WorldSBK practice

Portuguese rider Miguel Oliveira improved his performance during the first day of free practice for the WorldSBK round in Cremona, Italy. After finishing the morning session in 13th place with a time of 1:29.256, Oliveira improved his pace in the afternoon session.

Driving the BMW M 1000 RR for the ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team, Oliveira recorded a best time of 1:28.922, securing 9th place overall. He was the fastest BMW rider of the day, showing progress following recent difficulties at Donington Park and Magny-Cours. The team implemented ergonomic adjustments to the motorcycle to increase his confidence.

In the overall standings, Iker Lecuona led the sessions for Ducati, while championship leader Nicolò Bulega finished second despite suffering two crashes during the day. Ducati demonstrated significant dominance, occupying the top seven positions in the combined timing table.
