Miguel Rojas announces retirement from Major League Baseball

Los Angeles Dodgers veteran infielder Miguel Rojas has announced his retirement from Major League Baseball following the team’s elimination from the National League Championship Series. The 37-year-old Venezuelan player confirmed his decision after the Milwaukee Brewers swept the Dodgers in the series.

Rojas, a two-time World Series champion, played a significant role in the Dodgers’ 2025 championship victory. He expressed his desire to remain involved in professional baseball, stating his intention to serve the organization in a different capacity.

Over a 13-year career spanning 1,401 games, Rojas maintained a .260 batting average. His career included a tenure with the Miami Marlins after initially joining the Dodgers in 2014, before returning to Los Angeles in 2023.
